Muhle razors and other Muhle products to shave your beard are a staple nowadays in the world of wet-shaving. This company has been founded by Otto Johannes Müller in 1945, just after the Second World War. Their iconic logo is also from that era.

As many other companies he did not have a warehouse from the start. He worked from a laundromat and manufactured his first shaving brushes there. The company grew quickly and in 1949 hey already started exporting his first shaving brushes. In 1965 the company had partners in 36 countries.

Their success did not stay unnoticed and the Communist government in East-Germany, where the company was located, nationalized the company in 1972. The son of founder, Hans-Jürgen Müller, was the head of the company and against the nationalization. In 1987 the company produced shaving brushes for the GDR and Hans-Jürgen decided to leave the company and continue as a freelancer.

Luckily he could regain control of the company in 1990, after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The transition to the free market was difficult for the company, but they survived and continued to grow in the company they are nowadays. In the early 2000s the company started to make a name for themselves in the world of wet-shaving [1].

When you read the history of this company you might think they only have shaving brushes, but they have so much more nowadays. They have everything yo need for a great grooming routine, like shaving brushes, safety razors, shaving soaps, after shaves and so much more. The shaving brushes are made with either real badger hair or their own developed Silvertip Fibre. It has a beautiful ash-wood handle with chrome accents. This product is water resistant and very robust. A great product to add to your classic wet-shaving routine.
