Eau de parfum for men usually focuses on a slightly different scent profile compared to those for women. Notes of wood, leather, bergamot, pepper, vetiver, tobacco leaves etc. are often found in fragrances for men. How long does eau de parfum last?

Eau de parfum lingers for a good amount of time but is not strong enough to transfer to someone else or be as overpowering as a real parfum. Usually, an eau de parfum remains present for around 5 to 8 hours.

It is very important to always close your eau de parfum properly after use, otherwise it will lose its scent over time. The concentration effectively decreases. With a perfume, this is even more important due to the higher concentration.

What is the difference between eau de parfum and parfum?

It is therefore important to distinguish between parfum and eau de parfum. Parfum is more concentrated, therefore more expensive, and lasts longer. Eau de parfum is somewhat more affordable and contains more alcohol. An eau de parfum generally lasts around 6 hours, while a parfum lasts more than 8 hours.

Which is better: eau de parfum or eau de toilette?

Eau de toilette has a concentration of 5 to 15% and therefore lingers for about 2 to 3 hours. The lower concentration also makes it somewhat cheaper than eau de parfum, but you need more of it because it evaporates more quickly.

Which is better depends on your preference and what you find important in a men's fragrance.
