Body Wash
What is a body wash?
A body wash is the first step in a good body care regimen. A body wash is sometimes called a shower gel. Although there can be slight differences between them, they are essentially all cleansing products for your body, but a shower gel cleanses slightly deeper.

Body wash for men
Body washes are designed to clean and care for your skin. Especially after exercising or on hot days, it is highly recommended to use a body wash. Just using warm water is often not enough to wash away all the dirt or sweat.
Body wash vs shower gel
Generally speaking a shower gel is slightly better at a deeper cleansing of your skin. It can handle excessive oil or sebum better compared to a body wash. So, if you have oily skin, a shower gel meant be better for you. In the Moquer shop body washes and shower gels are combined in one category.
Which body wash is best for your skin?
Choosing the best body wash for your skin depends on your skin type and any specific needs. For men with sensitive or dry skin, it is important to choose a mild, hypoallergenic body wash without harsh chemicals.
If you have normal or oily skin, you can opt for a body wash with a slightly deeper cleansing action, as you do not have to worry as much about washing away your skin’s natural oils. That is why a shower gel could be a great option because they are better in dissolving excess oil. A soap bar provides an even more thorough cleansing.
Can I use body wash as shampoo?
No, at Moquer we do not recommend using a body wash as a shampoo. A shampoo should also not be used as a body wash. Both are formualted for specific purposes. A shampoo would be too harsh for your skin, because it is meant to degrease your hair. It will wash away too many of your skin's natural oils. Vice versa that means a body wash is usually not powerful enough to cleanse your hair properly.
Is body wash better than soap?
This is primarily a matter of preference. A body wash lathers well and is easier to apply and to rinse off your skin. Soap, especially classic soap, is harder to rinse and can leave your skin feeling a bit tight and dry. Bar soap is a little bit harsher compared to a liquid body wash.
Natural body washes
Many of our body washes are very natural and contain as few chemicals as possible. They are rich in natural ingredients and extracts that optimally care for men’s skin. Choose the right body wash for your needs and experience the difference in your daily care routine. We offer a wide range of body washes without parabens and sulphates.
Body wash for men
A body wash for men is often formulated differently than one for women. Men’s skin is thicker and requires a deeper cleanse. Always choose a natural body wash specifically formulated for men for the best results, and more masculine scents.
When to use a men’s body wash?
Use a body wash after exercising or when you get up in the morning to freshen up. A good men’s body wash ensures your skin feels fresh and energised all day. In the evening, a refreshing body wash can also help you wind down for the night.
How to use body wash?
Using body wash is simple. First, rinse yourself with warm water. Then apply the body wash to your wet skin. For the best results, use a loofah or brush to work the body wash into a lather and spread it over your body, avoiding your face. Rinse the body wash off thoroughly to prevent your skin from drying out. Afterwards, it is advisable to use a body lotion for extra hydration.
