Bluebeards Revenge was founded after a bet following a session of drinking a bit too much rum. The owner was challenged to find shaving products that could handle the most stubborn stubble, but he was unsuccessful.

As a result, he launched his own products in the summer of 2010 named The Bluebeards Revenge. The logo, featuring a white skull and crossed white bones, reminiscent of the Jolly Roger pirate flag, also garnered some media attention.
